We are now offering Holy Yoga Classes under the instruction of Kim Peterson! Here is a little bit more information about Kim and what her classes will involve!

Kimberly Peterson started practicing yoga in 2000 after the premature birth of her first son. Taking care of his special needs was all-consuming, and she found yoga to be a great way to deal with the stress. After witnessing the sudden, accidental death of her father in 2007, she found herself working through trauma, grief, anxiety, depression, and a whole host of health issues as a result. She soon stumbled across Brooke Boon's book, "Holy Yoga," and it changed her life! God used Holy Yoga to help heal her physically, emotionally and spiritually. She knew that the physical practice of yoga was proven to help deal with grief, depression, anxiety and stress, but she loved how Holy Yoga brought the Ultimate Healer into the equation by yoking the physical poses, breath work, and focus with Jesus and His Truth. Kimberly could not wait to share the healing properties of this ministry, and completed her 225-hour Holy Yoga Instructor training in 2012. Since then, she has continued to be discipled by Holy Yoga trainings, including: Chair/Senior Holy Yoga, Holy Yoga Touch, Holy Yogalates, Kids Holy Yoga, Holy Yoga's Leadership program, Pre/Postnatal Holy Yoga, Holy Yoga with weights, and Trauma-Sensitive Holy Yoga. Kimberly fell in love with the beautiful, authentically Christ-centered community of Holy Yoga, and is honored to serve on the Holy Yoga leadership team as part of the regional leadership and the Soul Care Team. She has taught Holy Yoga to all ages--from toddlers to Seniors--and loves sharing God's Word from her mat. She has a passion to nurture her students' prayer lives, and lead them into the peace and rest found only in the presence of God.

Kimberly and her husband Dean serve together in a ministry called Baseball Chapel for the Washington National's single A minor league team, with Dean serving as the Chaplain, and Kimberly as the Women's Chapel Leader. They have three amazing boys, and spend a lot of time at the baseball field.
